Yes, I use it in a dedicated profile within GrapheneOS. All privileges are revoked for Play Store and Google Play Services only gets Network privs. All traffic (except Android Auto) goes through my Wireguard VPN with lots of DNS blocking via Pi-hole. Android Auto is also restricted from using my mic, so no voice commands work. Is Google getting my data? Absolutely. Is my method better than using the stock, Google-molested OS, with no DNS blocking, and less granular privileges? Probably. Its definitely a privacy tradeoff, but using Waze on my car’s screen is just too beneficial for me while driving. The traffic data, reported hazards, police, etc. can be very helpful. That’s a call you have to make. I truly wish there was a compatible open source alternative for my car.

With enough money and greed, you can make a very ineffective government.

The shit I don’t agree with that NYC is doing is eliminating Class 3 e-bikes. Cutting off pedal assist at 25mph vs. 28mph is such a negligible 3mph difference. This criminalizes a huge amount of bikes that are perfectly legal in the rest of the United States. E-motos like the Surron were already illegal, unregistered motorcycles before Class 3 arbitrarily got axed in NYC.

Win 11? I’d do a clean OS install (I highly recommend LTSC, if you must stick with Windows). But definitely format and reinstall OS. If that’s too much effort, check your browsers for rogue extensions and do a full virus and malware check. Clear all browser data and start fresh. I highly recommend using only Firefox, Chrome if the site doesn’t work, and never touch Edge or Brave. Definitely just uninstall Brave. Once you’re confident your OS and browsers are clean: start with a new password manager database and change your passwords.
