That “within reason” is doing enough heavy lifting to give a kid a hernia.

Spot ate the…lionfish?
Didn’t some white lady sing, too in the middle somewhere? 😉

That exemption is only meant for the confederate flag jk/not jk.

You can even use water on most pc components and it will clean most residue- it’s called the universal solvent for a reason. The reason isopropyl alcohol is popular is that it is still a decent solvent but also will evaporate quickly, which makes it safer.
People have put PC stuff into a dishwasher (without detergent, on cold) but that feels kind of crazy to me still.
I’d be more concerned about soaking components in alcohol. Lubricants, adhesives, etc would all be at risk of being worn away. Definitely don’t do it to fans or anything else that moves. Pure hunks of metal (like a heatsink) or silicon are safer.

The guys at my local 7-11 treat my nephew like their little brother and will give him a bunch of extra food if he goes there towards the evening. “Here take an extra hot dog” kind of thing.
Lemmy ux isn’t focused on keeping you engaged all day. There are no ads to sell, no data to mine.
It’s a smaller platform. So there’s less on here if you’re used to Reddit/etc. Which algorithm are you using? Regardless, all the algorithms are simpler - nothing is going to track if you’ve seen/interacted with a post already. That’s some TikTok/YouTube thing.
My unsolicited advice is find some communities you care about, check in once or twice a day, and share a post of your own from time to time. Lemmy doesn’t do dopamine hits the same way corporation owned social media does.
Edit: also, welcome to Lemmy! It takes a minute to adjust, but I’ve been here for 4 years and I dig the vibes.
And if you view all and sort by new, thank you for your service 🫡
I’m tired of microblog screenshots that self-censor 😕
Also that’s cool. I’m pretty sure I cannot smell ants. But it’s also possible there are ants everywhere I go, so I can’t discern what part of the background smells are the ants.

Careful with that rule. There are exceptions. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/trump-marjorie-taylor-greene-60-minutes-interview/
Yeah the flags are about supporting people, not necessarily identifying yourself. I often keep my balcony holiday lights in trans pride colors, doesn’t make me trans :-)
Every reply to your comment is correct. Together they explain everything wrong with the idea in that meme. I have no notes. Bravo @expatriado@lemmy.world @ZkhqrD5o@lemmy.world and @markz@suppo.fi .

Ugh I want to “well, ackshually” this so badly…

I was really into Spreadsheets in Space years ago. How’s EVE these days?

Protection so powerful we should watch movies with it. And popcorn.

Miles ahead of everyone else in Star Trek.
Short article but still hard to get through. The banal cruelty and pointlessness of all this…
It’s roughly enough money to just build 100k homes. Why can’t we just do that instead?
