This entire scheme was a combination of market manipulation along with a universal price hike. A lot of very rich people got a lot richer. They got to engage in insider trading while massively increasing prices while pretending they had no choice.
Unless there’s a small town with a population of like 12 people, 5 of whom are cops, and speed limit signs hidden by vegetation so you don’t see it dropped from 75 to 45 for 100 yards and you get a ticket for going over 25mph over and don’t have the option to take a driver’s safety course to dismiss the ticket.
Want to challenge it in court? Okay. Drive 200 miles back into town between 1:00 and 1:05 on a Tuesday to request a court date that that will require you ro travel again that they’ll ensure doesn’t work with your schedule. Also the judge (who doesn’t have to have a law degree) is one of the 12 citizens, and the remaining 6 are the jury.
Good luck!

It’s also not necessarily conscious evil. Someone who is poor is more likely to recognize the effort required to acquire treats that are trivial for the wealthy. To the wealthy, the candy has essentially zero value, so they don’t recognize the harm caused by taking it from others.

Make no mistake - you have always been expected to work until you stopped being useful, then die. Social Security was there to deal with the remaining husks of those who beat the odds instead of having homeless old people dying in the streets where everyone could see it.
When the retirement age was set at 65, it was higher than the average life expectancy of Americans. Most people weren’t expected to reach that age. But then we started living longer and fucking up the math.

Not too well. That still comes out to nearly 4 years to hit a billion dollars.

They can fine him for each failure to appear.
They just need to schedule him every minute of every day until he complies.
Felonious follies in fecal fapping.

Forget out od state. He took money from Azerbaijan.

He also illegally took foreign money for his campaigns. He had a few peons plea guilty over it.

Elder Scrolls and Fallout games have been buggy messes since forever, but that doesn’t mean the games didn’t have positive qualities. Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim, and Fallout 3/New Vegas were technical dogs, but we waded through the bugs because the underlying games were great.

Henry Ceullar is a Republican in every way that counts. He had his chief advisor set up a dark money operation that funneled money from Mexico and Azerbaijan to support his campaigns against progressive primary challengers in return for political favors.
Air conditioning will remove moisture from the air while cooling the cab, so the condensation can only form on the outside, where you have wind and windshield wipers to wipe off the condensation.
While my setup isn’t meant to be showy, I cannot operate with a single monitor these days. At work I have my laptop screen, a USB monitor to the right, a 36" ultra-widescreen up high, and a landscape 32" monitor to the left.
I still want more screens. I basically want a Neil Pert monitor setup.

Gun safes are particularly bad most of the time. Many of the big ones are super thin sheet metal on top of a sheetrock core. And the small ones just get stolen with the guns in them.
It’s actually why I keep my pistol in the cash safe in my used commercial van. The safe’s surrounded by an additional steel box on all 4 sides with the door facing up and bolted into the car body the in a way that you’d have to open the safe to get to the bolts, with the other side of the bolts located so you’d have to remove the gas tank to get to it.
The van was actually stolen once before I owned it, and the thieves never did get to the cash in the safe, so I figured it’s a more secure place for my pistol than a safe in my house.
I’m also usually pretty close to my car, whereas I’m away from my house for long stretches.
Never challenge their ability to make things worse.

Tying benefits to employers is idiotic. Even if you want to tie benefits to work requirements, this system fucks the millions of people with multiple part-time jobs.

Gamerant is saying the studio was low on funds and facing a $20 million dollar lawsuit from a former exec when the workers were furloughed weeks prior to launch, that dozens of employees have already been brought back, and that Bit Locker is claiming to want to bring the rest back.
This was their first game, and if they do bring back the team members (with back pay) now that the game is a sucess, I would actually be much more understanding.

So to reduce time spent looking for new jobs, devs should make sure games take even longer to develop and are in even worse shape at release so they have to hold onto the team for bug fixes.
It isn’t more accurate than Mercator, it just preserves different features.
When flattening a map, there are 4 competing aspects of the globe you can try to preserve: shape, direction, area, and distance. You can’t preserve all 4 at once. You can try to min-max on 1 or 2 (e.g. Mercator preserves direction and shape since that’s what’s needed for sailing), or you can accept some distortions of all 4 in a compromise projection.
It all depends on the purpose of the map.
