Despite what some idealistic people will say, independence will require a huge amount of bureaucracy to achieve which will dwarf that of leaving the EU.
I realise the Lib Dems are likely trying to put a wedge between the parties with this statement, but I am fairly certain they have been pushing for increase devolution which is a pretty similar viewpoint of Plaid at the moment.

As it mentioned in the article, the large companies will have the leverage to raise the prices (article describes it as cartelization). And are then encouraged to keep the scale with compensation and I guess subsidies.

I have personally found that roads are nicer to walk along with people going slower, but I haven’t necessarily noticed more people walking. I think part of the issue is the way that new housing has been built where it is still a significant distance away from the places you need to get to is still keeping people in cars.
I have not noticed any differences in the lighting, but the Welsh Gov did postpone all road building projects at a similar time, and for any smaller residential road building I would’ve thought the builders would want it to be low speed anyway.
The problem is money. The amount of opposition the government got for allocating the spending for just changing the signs was huge.
Instead, any effort and capital should be going towards public transport and alternatives to car infrastructure, but there never seems to be enough money about.

The documentary is a good watch. It is scary to see how the PA members think their views are normal. e.g. saying something along the lines of “everyone thinks this…” after saying something abhorrent.
Are you nearby to it at least? The last big one in December they had the emergency warning zone a fair bit bigger than the actual red area to account for people travelling. Which does make sense considering people will commute up to 50 miles or so, plus inaccuracies from phone masts covering a large area.
British Gas is not exactly a oil company - they are a energy supplier for households (electricity & gas). However he could definitely be considered evil for pushing UK energy companies to excessive profiteering.
Not sure how to change it, but I think I know why.
When you lock, the time until the screen turns off goes right down to a couple of seconds - you can stop this by wiggling you mouse or pressing a button like normal. This is different to sleep where it uses very little power and the state is moved to memory - background process will still be running when the screen is off.
You may be able to adjust this in the GUI by changing when the screen goes off in settings, but I have not tested.
I got interested myself and did a quick search, but it doesn’t seem like Riot have live stats unfortunately. I would expect League of Legends to have more players, but I don’t think it would be that huge, especially considering how popular Dota is in non-western countries.
I also find it funny how if you search something like “dota vs lol player count”, most of the spammy sites just compare the number you gave or even worse comparing Dota’s 1m peak concurrent per month vs League’s 150m total a month.
There also seems to be a disparity in the number of accounts that most players have per game (smurfs) making this probably not worth the time to research!
Is that daily player count concurrent or total for the day? If it is the first, I don’t think these figures are comparable.
As someone who lives in Wales and drives, cycles and walks around daily, I think this is a great policy, but poorly communicated and has been a target by populist politicians which has fed into the discontent.
Many people speed and break the limit anyway regardless of the speed limit. In my experience about 80% of cars will be sticking to 20 - either abiding by the limit or stuck behind someone keeping to it. The majority of people speeding will only speed up to ~30mph, which will be less than what they’ll be speeding if the limit was at 30 originally.
It may vary by council, but I personally can’t think of any roads near me that could do with reverting back up to 30 (that haven’t already). Some main roads will still be 20, but then there are schools and residential on these roads which doesn’t make sense to revert - but some people will still complain.
Personally I don’t think this policy will ever have national popular support. It is a policy that directly affects someone’s day to day rather than a stat which makes it a perfect candidate for people to complain about (potholes are similar). This is despite polling also saying that the vast majority support 20 outside their own house (but outside other people’s houses should be reverted?).
I am kinda sick of how much this policy is brought up. It seems like every month there is a new article critiquing the limit and it is getting quite repetitive.

I had a survey from him recently branded and labelled from the House of Commons but largely contained questions related to devolved matters. I remember something about 20mph and M4 relief road as well as NHS in Wales. I wonder whether this would be against the code of conduct too? It seems like he wants to take the job of RT Davies in the Sennedd.

Labour sold themselves as being able to create “a partnership in power” at the last General Election, but the whole dynamic is rigged. The way it is structured means that the partnership is similar to that of a parent and child. You can see Welsh Labour are wanting to create space between the two govs, but if push comes to shove, parliament can tell the Sennedd to sit on the naughty step and withdraw power.
I think the only way around this while keeping the union is for England to have their own devolved parliament. There can still be a UK-wide assembly, but this should operate similarly to the EU where each country can still have a fair bit of autonomy.
