It doesn’t come with a GUI and is just terminal based. Basically every other YouTube downloader program/website/app is either YTDLP with a GUI, or YTDLP with a GUI and a bunch of malware.

I use and recommend Parabolic for desktop use or Seal for use on my phone.

My most common use is probably to download the audio of a YouTube song and have it added to my Spotify playlists as a local file. That way I can have niche YouTube music that isn’t on Spotify still be in my playlists :)

Fun fact! The same thing happens with bodybuilders take steroids. It changes their face look so much!

Actually, steroids are essentially my HRT in reverse. It makes me look younger, softer skin, less muscle, less acne, etc. whereas body builders who take gear look older, have thicker skin, more muscle, more acne, etc.

Women who get on steroids and take testosterone is LITERALLY the same thing as FtM HRT.

I’ve been watching an ex bodybuilders YouTube who does a lot of activism against unhealthy steroid use and it’s REALLY fascinating to me how gender expression can be so opposite but still so similar.

Men taking steroids is (more or less) essentially DIYHRT just for cis men instead of trans men. Same testosterone coming from the same oversea suppliers. (ignoring that testosterone is only 1 chemical bodybuilders inject, there’s a LOT of others)

I’ve literally recommended someone doing DIYHRT to get blood work done by a company that the YouTuber recommends to people on steroids to get their blood work done.

When I was little my dad told me our dog passed away in his sleep and he didn’t want me to see it. He talked about the joys of life and the negatives and how he wasn’t really living anyways at his old age.

In actually the dog got so old it could hardly stand by himself so he went to the vet and got him put down. He explained this a couple years later when I was old enough to understand, though I did put two and two together by that point.
