I think they’re just a bit late with that first stage, the hard bit isn’t once you’re about to go in the shower, it’s stopping whatever you’re doing or getting off the couch/bed that’s the hard part.

Oddly Satisfying@lemmy.world•The way this plane fits between the buildings when photographed from the groundEnglish
4·2 hours agoPeople have been doing this Photoshop since before Photoshop existed probably. Adding a plane is a true crowd favourite. This one is egregious though.

So utterly irrelevant it bares no mention. ^/s

Games@lemmy.world•I'm sick of hearing and even reading about GTA 6English
4·23 hours agoI mean I’m no GTA fanboy and probably won’t get it (or if I do, much after it’s released and goes on sale), but I don’t think the comparison to FIFA is warranted, the last installment was released 13 years ago and the new one is sure to have a massive jump forward and will be a completely new game, whereas the footy games release every year without missing a beat with barely any updates besides the team rosters.
The little flies and mosquitoes which would otherwise be bothering, spiders are friends.
Easily the best movies there for sure, and there’s some good stuff in the rest but these are just a class of their own.
Priest probably just said something like “be good to thy neighbours” and the maga extrapolated from there lmao.
I think he was cutting them up in front of the people he was paying with them.
I’m not American, I do like tomatoes in pretty much everything, also raw for example with burratta cheese, but I don’t want them in my burgers or sandwiches (with some few exceptions, like in a pain bagnat) because it just makes everything else soggy.
Literally had my step dad say something to this effect recently, yeah.
I hear the video editing part of blender is actually decent for casual use.

I don’t see enough people typing out the one in the sarcastic string of exclamation marks anymore, wish it would make a comeback.

World News@lemmy.world•Minister tells Brits to stock up on days of supplies after ‘supersize’ El Niño warningEnglish
21·5 days agoThat’s easier said than done btw, like yeah stockpiling some long lasting cans of food is easy and even if you forget them they’ll probably still be ok to eat but really what you want is to rotate that pantry so it has somewhat fresh stuff at all times. You also need water, which really is the Biggie here if the tap stops working. Of course also stuff for cooking/heating up if you have no gas or electricity into the house.

3·5 days agoIs delicatessen really all happening in the apartment building? I have memories of outdoor scenes as well but maybe I’m mixing things up with dikkenek.

Weather was pretty good this year around here (we’re too north to suffer like our southerly neighbours). Myself I’ve been a mess, I’m freelance and been running around in circles trying to get everything done, working so much for in the end not really that good money, and now we’re just done with what should’ve been our big vacations for the year, and they were, but just feels like it didn’t help me reset at all and as soon as we hit home it’ll be back to the ol’ pit of despair… Most of this is just caused by my inability to focus on the positive though.

61·5 days agoThat’s probably an understanding between the museum and the tour operators, keep the cattle in the main bits so the rest can breath in the other parts.

Yeah I love that feeling too and indulge it now and then but unfortunately there’s no way I can get my hair any kind of decent for the day unless I fully wet/wash them so I have to mostly stick with morning showers because fuck washing just my head and two showers a day is wasteful :(
