I was a kid for the dot com bubble. I was a teenager for the mortgage lending crash. Watched and learned what happened. When COVID caused another crash I knew what to do and how to make money from it. Another crash is just another opportunity to make money. Not as much as the rich assholes that cause all of this, but enough.

At least in the US, Reagan lowered taxes and started cutting funding for public schools. A new building wasn’t in the budget for majority of school districts.

I remember getting a procedure that was covered 100% by my insurance. Which was sort of surprising because the insurance I had was horrible and provided by the hospital I worked at. When I went in they were trying to get me to pay a copay, I kept iterating that I was told by insurance this was covered. They said we’ll just get you prepped and figure it out later.

I never got a bill.
