Heavily biased article. There are just as many studies linking it as there are unlinking it. I’m not saying it does cause depression, but I am heavily disputing the claim that it doesn’t. Though I do agree with op that anecdotally the state of the world probably plays a bigger role.
I mean the American Psychological Association says that it’s not inherently beneficial or harmful, which seems like a pretty credible source
Sure, but that doesn’t change the fact that this article in particular is biased. The conclusion they came to could still be valid, that doesn’t change the bias
