Hi - Tenlog TLD3-Pro, printing with branx new Overture PLA+, printing an OpenSCAD exported STL sliced with Cura 5.7.1 (most recent as of yesterday).
I’m printing first level at 0.3mm thickness, but the print is irregularly too thick in height – and not by a little bit, a lot. I’ve lowered the temperature to 190. I’ve physically lowered the bed to the point that the skirt didn’t print, then raised it just barely back. I’ve reduced the flow rate to 85%, and I’m still getting the same results. I’ve lowered the build plate temperature, no change.
The skirt might be a tough high in spots, but I’m ending up with the first level of a prime tower that looks like this.
Any ideas? What else can I try?
How long have you been using this printer with it’s current configuration? Has it been printing perfectly for months with no changes and then suddenly this, were there any recent upgrades/ updates, maybe a different problem happened and you fixed it but now this is happening?
Does this happen with every print, or have you only tried this gcode? I’m assuming you already know the model itself is good.
As a bandaid solution, you can fiddle with z-hop.
Look at the gcode (with some viewer, like the one from pursaslicer), it will tell you how thick the first layer in your sliced file is. Maybe it is somehow very thick.
It might not be a hardware issue.
Now THAT’S a mouse pad! My brother had that same one like 20+ years ago holy shit that thing is a blast from the past
is your printer calibrated? if this isnt a badly leveled bed, it could be something like a crooked Z axis.
at least part of it is looking like the nozzle might be way too close, from this angle.
