If you walk through your local Publix, you may have noticed a new sign reminding customers to keep their furry friends at home if they wish to shop.

Recently, these signs have been popping up in more Publix stores, saying that pets, including emotional support animals, are not allowed to enter.

While service animals are allowed, they must be under the control of their owners and the store asked that people keep them away from carts or baskets for sanitation purposes.

I’ve got dogs and I wouldn’t take them into a regular shop even if allowed.

There are enough poorly behaved and stinky people in shops, don’t want them bringing their dogs too.

I used to take my dog into Lowe’s just to help socialize him, but during the pandemic absolutely everyone did that and it was a nightmare of lunging animals.

I feel like the biggest issue here is that Publix is a grocery store and having dogs around food ain’t really a good idea. Lowes has big “dogs allowed” signs on the front door

Not to mention dogs in carts. I would think for someone who’s allergic to pets shouldn’t have to worry when picking up produce and bread.

Good point, my sister is one of those people. She has to take medicine before she plans to hang out with dogs or her throat closes. I didn’t even think of allergic reactions at first, but that would be terrible.
