The extended “preorder” trailer we got yesterday managed to properly sell me on the game, at least gameplay-wise, and I’ll probably get it day one (assuming it runs well at launch).

Yeah, I’ve been watching this for a while. The issues I have with the game (it’s pretty embarrassing to look at. You probably wouldn’t want it on your living room in front of people…) are outweighed by how they really seemed to have nailed that quality of presentation as well as seeming to have made a quality action combat game.
After massive disappointments like bayonetta 3 and no new dmc or nier on the horizon, I’m really hankering for a good game in the genre
