Let’s play “Who said it, Hitler or beloved children’s YouTuber Ms. Rachel?”
Children should never experience the horrors of war - nor be killed, injured or taken hostage. These are grave violations of children’s rights.
Children have the right to clean water, food, medical care, a safe place to live and education. We need to get aide to children and their families. We need the hostages home safe. The violence has to end. Children have rights.
We should be ashamed of how children around the world are suffering when we could wrap each and everyone up
in love.
I bet you couldn’t even tell who said this radical, violent rhetoric. (Context)
It’s pro Palestine because every decent human being feels empathy with victims of genocide. Calling anything but the Holocaust genocide relatives it and is therefore anti Semitic.
Source: I live in Germany and here are people who say that unironically.
I think that it is worth pointing out that the state of Israel has executed a successful campaign to “totally destroy” (their recent words) Gaza by fire. In English, we have a word that literally means “to totally destroy by fire”: and that word is fucking “holocaust”.
This war is a holocaust of Gaza, and a one-sided genocide.
Those who aren’t against any Genocide no matter what the “nationalistic, racial, ethnic or religious” group targeted but instead are only against some Genocides but not others depending on the ethnicity of the aggressors and/or the victims, aren’t Humanists, they’re just Racists with different lists of “good” and “bad” races.
What makes it extra sad is that many of those don’t even realize that the “anti-Racism” they were taught wasn’t really learning to be against any and all Racism, it was just learning to be Racist in favor of and against different targets - they’ll react with extreme outrage when confronted with their own Racism and genuinely think those who confronted them are the real Racists, because the whole notion of neither being against nor in favor of anybody based on their race alone isn’t part of their experience or even just a goal they see as the best one.
They’ve been brainwashed into having a different set of Racial preferences rather than having raised above that way of looking at their fellow human beings.
Calling anything but the Holocaust genocide relatives it and is therefore anti Semitic.
I’m sorry but then you have to explain to these people that the word genocide is not synonymous with the Holocaust, and our laws (because that is no doubt where they snatched up the term “relativise”) work accordingly. With my heartfelt empathy, I’m sure it feels like banging your head against a wall sometimes.
Sorry for the nitpicking, but no: you did explain it. Of course whoever it was meant for will resist but they might get around to it later, or some onlooker might have gotten a lightbulb moment. It’s the best we can do. 🤗
Hey man, cool it with the anti-Semitism
How is it anti semitic?

I’ve tried to explain that, I really did. And yes, the wall metaphor fits
