That means that we can import cheaper and cleaner energy from our neighbours when we need it, and vice versa.”

    Honestly this is amazing. Adding this ability mentioned and some resilience to the grid.

    So what voltage does it operate at, how much can it transfer? What was the previous record? No details in the article

      Wikipedia says ± 525 kV DC. They’re sending 1.4 GW a distance of 765 km. Previous record was the North Sea Link at 720 km.
